Shooters for next year?

Probz but we're going look a lot more like Texas a&m than Hoiball going forward so who knows if we really need any true snipers.

Jackson has the potential, as well as LindyWiggy. Plus, Jakolby Long may develop.

I think Lewis can shoot too.

Also don't be surprised if we grab a SF transfer that is a scorer.

Jackson can shoot for sure. I wouldn't mind seeing a team weighted toward driving over outside shooting as a change of pace.

I hear what you are saying as a change of pace but with driving you need the ability to make a team pay when they collapse the lane.

Jackson. I think Lewis is supposed to be a good 3 point shooter too. Not sure about Jakolby

Look at other teams though- many don't shoot as many threes but make a better percentage as the ones they take are lightly guarded. I think we'll have plenty of guys that can hit open threes on the kick out.

My guess is the staff will bring in an elite wing shooter from JUCO or grad transfer.

After that focus shuould be on PFs.

McNeil and Lewis both can shoot.. McNeil might be too light to play next year but we'll see..I do think we grab a grad transfer combo guard that can shoot FWIW..or a PF transfer that can..

IMO Wigginton fits this bill, he almost plays downhill. I think some of the recent rule changes will help him out big time, I expect him to get to the FT line a ton next year. I like the potential of his driving/slashing opening things up for shooters like Jackson and Lewis.

This is what I'm hoping for too. Once ISU got the reputation as a 3 pt shooting team under Hoiberg we've been stuck with it and the players feel like the need to live up to the rep or something. I don't like that at all. Even Burton feels like he needs to launch 3's because hey.... we're a 3 point shooting team, right?

We are a 3-point shooting team, just not a 3-point making team.

He is a career 43% shooter from 3. This team is taking to many bad threes but if they are taken in rythym they aren't really bad. The problem is we don't run offense to get rythym 3's
