Was thinking as good as Louisville was with offense and now that Strong has left for Texas that maybe we could poach him. That is assuming he doesn't follow strong to Texas. He was born in Illinois and went to southern Illinois. Hope we take a look at him, he doubled as quarterback coach also at Louisville. He previously held the same positions for Nebby. Anybody that coached Bridgewater to such success should get some attention I would think.

He didn't have a great offense at Nebraska and frankly Teddy Bridgewater was going to be good no matter who coached him. He does have a lot of experience though. It would be an interesting hire.

Nebraska ran him out to be honest.

Louisville fans were not a fan of him, so I'm not a fan of him. They say he greatly underperformed while having the best QB in NCAA. Tried to run the ball too much, and was ultra conservative.

Nebraska also ran off Craig Bohl as DC.

Wesley the Bot says, "There was a reason Craig Bohl and Shawn Watson were booted/scooted from Lincoln. They were not winning enough games. Now they have Bo and things are the same."

Nebraska fans didn't like him. Before that, Colorado fans didn't like him.....

The reason we were so unsuccessful with mess is that Mess did not have full control of offense. Mess called a play, Paul pick the QB for the play, Pope picked the RB for the play. Terrible communication. It doesn't matter who the new oc is because it will all be the same under Rhoads. If Mess had full control would thing be different? Maybe, but not with 3 different guys calling the shots.

Going from Louisville to ISU as OC would be a downgrade. He will either go to Texas with Strong or be a head coach somewhere smaller.
