Severance on Apple+

Looks interesting. I’ll give it a look. Thanks for posting. Always looking for new material.

I'm a fan. Just finished the finale. It's a hard show to really pigeonhole. Kind of a mix of sci-fi, drama, dark comedy, and thriller. One of the more original shows I have seen in awhile.

Good to hear about the finale. Strange show, but I couldn’t stop watching it. It does make you think…. which I love.

Has heavy Lost and Westworld vibes but just really beautifully shot.

I got my husband into it and we have been waiting impatiently for each new episode.

It is a fascinating concept, and it is such a bleak existence for the innie. It delivered on so many of the themes that kept occurring to me as I watched the first episodes.

Well acted, well written, well directed. Not a weak spot.

And man, Ricken is a turd.

What a great show. We just finished the season finale. Pretty staggering cliffhanger.

The guy who plays Milichick(sp?) is fantastic. The way he just exudes friendly malevolence is phenomenal. The whole cast is great.

I told my wife, for my next birthday, I want a Waffle Party

I have to say - Apple + is doing some great original things. This, Ted Lasso, Morning Show. We enjoyed The After Party. Curious if Slow Horses is good.

I liked The After Party as well and agree Apple+ is starting to find its rhythm. Have heard good things about Pachinko as well.

They’re emphasizing quality over quantity and I’m a big fan. The amount of content being produced for streaming right now is just insane - there’s no way to keep up with it all - and most of it is absolutely terrible. With their shows’ limited seasons, the weekly release format really works rather than the Netflix binge-style. They’re trying to out-HBO HBO and at a third of the price (currently, I know), it’s way better of a value.

They have gotten some great quality and huge stars. Tom Hanks isn’t just out there doing original content for anyone, but I think he has done two now for Apple+? That is impressive. I just added Roar (upcoming) to my queue - it seems like Nicole Kidman is in all of the limited series right now, but this one looks weird and interesting.

I am going to add that to my list - thanks! I am also curious if Dickenson is any good - I am a big fan of classic lit and poetry, and it looks entertaining.

Definitely weird. It's like a good extended Black Mirror episode. I actually did not know there would be more than one season and that probably would have turned me off early on, but I thought they pulled it together nicely last night to keep us interested. Just great acting by Turturro, Arquette, etc.

My fiance called it after a few episodes...

She called that Ms. Casey was going to be Gemma.

Gotta have more Burt cowbell.

"See" is a pretty clever series as well. I didn't think I was going to care for it at first, but ultimately found it pretty clever. It's not quite as good as a Ted Lasso, but pretty solid.

I really enjoyed For All Mankind as well. So far it's doing historical fiction a whole lot better than the second half of Man in the High Castle (shudder)

I didn't stay with The Strink Next Door. I LOVE both Rudd and Ferrell and had very high hopes and expectations. They both seemed to be playing a role that was non-traditional for them (especially Ferrell). It threw me off so much that I couldn't stick with it. Seemed like a good mindfuck of a show though.

That's the Jason Momoa one, right? I've been curious about that one, too, but also hadn't been sure I'd care for it. I might have to add that to our list!

Thank you! This is super helpful - I'm going to also look at this! I like historical stuff.

OK, this is what my fear was! I have watched the trailer for it about ten times trying to decide if I want to invest time in it. I don't watch a lot of TV, maybe a show or so a day, so I sort of want to hone in on stuff I'll really enjoy!

ATV has another “shrink” show coming with Harrison Ford and Jason Segel that sounds good. “Shrinking”

I haven’t binged a show like this since The Good Place.

What a fantastic finale. It was equal parts perplexing and satisfying in the way they revealed so many of the characters’ backstories.

Helly’s character dynamic went to a freaking 11 after they revealed she is an Eagan. I wondered why her outie was so damn insistent on keeping her innie trapped like that. I figured the outie knew more about the company than we’ve been told, but I was almost certain that she was actually trying to infiltrate Lumon itself.

And on that note, finding out that outie-Irvin is all-in on tracking down Lumon’s severed employees was a big surprise.

Mark finding out about his wife was heartbreaking but I’m so glad that it appears that Mark will have his sister’s attention with the photograph of Gemma.
