NFL: Seneca Wallace Cut

Pains me to say it, but this was probably the right move for Cleveland. McCoy is younger, costs less, has basically the same upside, and is well liked by the fans. Hate to see a Clone lose their job, but from a business standpoint it makes sense.

Bummer, I'd think he'd get picked up by somebody after a few qb's get dinged up.

get him Chiefs. Watching Stanzi play last night against guys with triple digit numbers and not coming anywhere close was depressing/awesome.

That and Matt Cassel is horrible as well.

Maybe Green Bay would pick him up! Don't have any trust in Harrell.[/QUOTE]

From Rotoworld:
Browns released QB Seneca Wallace.

After months of trade speculation, Colt McCoy will stick around as Brandon Weeden's back-up. Aside from the tension it will create if Weeden struggles, the move makes sense from both a football and financial perspective, as McCoy is six years younger than Wallace and due nearly $2 million less. The Browns are still risking McCoy turning into the most popular guy in town if their first-round pick struggles, however. Wallace should find a new home before Week 1, perhaps Green Bay, where Graham Harrell has stunk up the joint behind Aaron Rodgers this preseason.

Everything I've seen says cut too. But apparently Sash has been tweeting that he's not cut, he's been put on the reserve list. So I'm trying to counter-balance the internet information (after all, I read it on Twitter which is always 100% right) with the fact that Sash is actually tweeting it himself.

From my understanding, he doesn't count against the 53 until he comes off this list, at which point I guess the Giants would have to cut someone else. ????
