Selling Tailgate Ambulance

Looking to sell the Ames Tailgate Machine. Needing to sell due to having a young kid and not wanting to be gone all day on football Saturdays. Its a 1992 Ford e-350 diesel ambulance with only 76k miles. I have owned since 2012 and bought it straight out of service. Truck is very versatile with all the storage cabinets inside and out. Everything works (lights, siren, power plugs in the rear). Tires have less than 4k miles on them. New braking system from master cylinder, brake lines, and pads. $18k fully loaded with all tailgating equipment, can work on price a little if wanting it bare bones. Decals are a vinyl wrap that can be removed (picture with blue and gray stripes is how it looks without wrap). Serious buyers only. Being stored in West Des Moines. Pains me to put up for sale.

I dialed mine back and did only 2 mobile tickets. I did donate, though, to at least get a parking pass.

I couldn't justify $1200 bucks to only go to 3 games like I did last year.

I still have my season tickets and will continue to go to games. With the ambulance I always feel I need to be first in the lot and that makes for some long saturdays. Without it i wont feel so bad showing up 2 hours before kickoff. Also looking into getting a camper so we can stay all weekend as a family.

Ran into the same thing when I owned a old RV with some guys. Was a ton of fun when none of us had kids but eventually a couple of us got married and had kids, 1 moved out of state, and the other 1 couldn't make most of the games due to work. It left a lot of work for the 2 of us to keep it maintained and have enough time to get up to Ames early enough to get it ready for tailgate Our wives were not very happy with us eventually for us going up early by ourselves because they would have to drive up separately later since they did not want to go up that early especially for 11am games. The problem kind of resolved itself eventually as by the time we were ready to get rid of it there was too much mechanically wrong with it to make it worth fixing just to sell so we had to send it to the junkyard. Still got a ton of fun out of it for just costing each of us $500 to buy initially.

We need to establish some sort of generational "passing of the RV" traditions and ceremonies so that the equipment can keep getting passed along . . . until you guys get to be my age and want it back again!

Already had a stretcher and used as a lounger to take shots off the IV pole with. Lucky sold to fellow ISU fans so will still be able to see it in the Hilton lots for many more tailgates to come.
