Is there some rule that the sections between the 35 yard lines on the East side and the whole West side must sit during the game? Just curious, happens every year!!!!
Yep, unfortunately it is the same rule that says only half the number of students go to the games compared to the early eighties. Is there some rule that the sections between the 35 yard lines on the East side and the whole West side must sit during the game? Just curious, happens every year!!!!
Standing is reserved for the most important times in the game.
It really is ridiculous. Why the f are you there if you can't even stand up and cheer when we score a freakin td?!
Agreed, but that is more than just when the crowd is instructed to on 3rd down. For example, on a key series; the corwd should be up and loud for all 4 downs. I've been a part of great crowds at ISU games. I would love to see vs. TT 2002 and vs. CU 2005 type crowds every week.
Pretty much the entire stadium gets up and cheers when "we score a freaking TD."
But a lot of us aren't standing when we're running a 1st and 10 play at the 50 yard line.
My section sits for a lot of the game, section 17, but I stand. I just prefer it, I find it easier to focus on whats happening. I don't really care what they do as long as they don't try to tell me what to do, which so far hasn't been a problem.
I didn't just make that up. On Thursday, the 10 rows behind us were sitting after we scored. We yelled at them. Sit during timeouts. Otherwise, get off your lazy ***!
Why does it matter if you stand or not? Do the players look into the stands to see who is standing and play differently because of that? I have older people that sit behind me so I try to sit when I can so they can see. I am probly standing half the game. If that makes me less of a fan than I guess come tell me that during a game.
