School closings

Nobody taking the chance of a bus stalling or kids walking to school in this weather.
I hate all of you that are at Iowa State Right now, getting days off school because its cold. Have fun, or hope you had fun at your parties during this closure!
Some guy on the radio said this AM that in his 31 years, this is only the second time he can recall every single school in the state being cancelled.
The winter of 72-73 saw Iowa State shut down for 2 days. There were snow drifts across Lincoln Way by Friley, but we managed to walk 5 miles uphill each way to purchase "supplies".
It's a good day for people selling beer in Ames today. The student section should be especially "amped up" tonight.
Schools north of HWY 20 have indoor classrooms don't they? jk
I would bet a large percent of schools either delay tomorrow or just cancel. The low tonight is suppose to be around -16 for much of the state.
I bet almost all are delayed. I think the big ones will go to school. Wind is supposed to die down during day today.
There was a massive storm in 1983 that shut Ames down...but the Cave In and Thumbs were open! We aren’t even going to get to -16 today let alone it being the low. What tropical paradise are you in?
I am hoping we delay, my oldest had a before-school activity that was cancelled already. I work mornings at school, though, so a 2hr delay means no work for me.
