Somebody help me understand the attraction of playing MBB games at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. I think it only holds 3,250 fans. I see Wisconsin-St Mary's and Oklahoma-Minnesota are playing there this year. I know both ISU and Iowa have also played there.

Is there a good payout?

From what I've gathered:

1. Yes probably a payout or some TV money.
2. Neutral site helps RPI rating/strength of schedule.
3. Intimate setting. Fans that go get a good seat and its a cool vibe.

I don't know. I checked out some pictures online thinking there was maybe some sort of novelty factor to it, but it pretty much just looks like a gym but small. Maybe that's the draw; like seeing a bigtime musician in a small club setting.

I went to our NCAA tournament game vs Nevada at the Bradley Center in Millwaukee that seated like 20,000. Sat half-way up the upper deck. Could barely tell which player was which. I also went to the Colorado game in Sioux Falls and the Pentagon. Sat mid-court, 12th row for $40. The game in Sioux Falls was waaaaay more fun, and a better atmosphere than the NCAA game. Small arenas that are in good shape like the Pentagon are awesome places to watch basketball games.

Sat front row top of the key extended for $40. My favorite CBB experience outside of B12 championships. The old school gym novelty helped as well. I'm obsessed with the old 50's-style gyms. Just wished they would have had a concrete stage behind one of the hoops for the pep band/musicals.

I enjoyed the game at the Pentagon. Buddy was able to hook me up with tickets in a suite. It was awesome
