Is he on Iowa States radar? Rb/LB from Fort Dodge, he is probably a LB in college. Reminds me of Levi Peters, bigger and probably faster than Levi in high school. He was 1 or 2 in the state in rushing in class 4A as a sophomore and junior. Also a wrestler like Peters, currently ranked 2nd but upset the #1 ranked in the state and 18th ranked nationally wrestler last weekend at 195lbs. I've watched him play a handful of games and see a lot of good things from him.

Walk-on sure.

This is what bugs me with recruiting in the state of Iowa now, "let's get the kid to walk-on". I think back to when Mac recruited Iowa and had success and wonder how many of those kids; the Ryan Kock, Brett Meyer, etc type kids would even be recruited by Iowa State now? If there is a V or D on your helmet well then he must be ok. Missing out on talent in this state and thinking "well they will walk-on" is a bad mindset.

I don't give a crap what school the kid plays for. In my opinion he is not worth a scholarship.

If that 40 time is accurate could be a safety with that size, he may not be done growing yet, they should have him at the contact camp this summer and see him at a few different positions

Kock was a walk-on that earned a scholarship like the other Iowa boys such as Levi Peters, Jeff Woody, Ben Boesen, etc...

And Jesse Smith. Walk-on. First team all-Big 12. How tall is Jesse? And Brian Mills is 5-10, I think.

we'll probably lose him to NDSU
He may choose NDSU over ISU! If your choices were: ISU, Kansas, NDSU or UNI, right now, where would you go? You would probably win more games in one season at NDSU than you would in a career at ISU! Sorry to be so negative but I am being completely honest right now.

If you go to NDSU, that's the end of your football career. If you go to ISU, maybe you won't be winning 11 games a year, but at least standout performers here get a chance in the NFL.
