ISU is actually #21 in the Sagarin ranking used for the BCS computers.
KState is #5 in that portion.
ISU is ranked above our future conference foe and BCS bound WVU, but just behind our other future conference foe and also possibly BCS bound TCU.
ISU would be #2 in the Big Ten now in some BCS computer polls. That's what losing to Dakota and New Mexico schools, then having that same incredibly crappy team beat teams like Iowa and Illinois, does to your conference computer ranking.
Sagarin had OkState #3 last week too obviously, still doesn't dash their hopes yet as they only need 4 rankings to say their #2 (2 of which already say so).
The B12 is far and away the toughest conference this year, and ISU's record this year is absolutely NOT representative of how you guys play. I didn't get to be there for this year's game, but have been at the last two meetings between our schools and have enjoyed the games since I started attending KSU in 1992, and I have immense respect for your program.
Interesting thought: using Jerry Palm's BCS simulator with the data he has inputed at this moment in time, the only really bad team in the B12 (KU) is still ranked higher in the BCS than 1 SEC team, 4 ACC teams, 2 B10 teams and 4 P12 teams. The second "worst" team in the B12 is ranked higher than 6 ACC teams, 4 BE teams, 6 B10 teams, 8 P12 teams and 4 SEC teams. Yet many out there are still trying to claim that the SEC is the "toughest" football conference in the land.
I like the direction in which your program is going, and am looking forward to some terrific meetings in the future!

For me it's really cool to see some traditional powerhouse programs listed below us... Never would have thought that before the season started. Great job 'Clones.
One thing that really stood out to me is that the Big 12 has a clean sweep of spots 1-10 for strength of schedule. I suppose having 9 conference games helps that, but that still seems pretty impressive.
The "mighty" SEC only has 4 in the top 20, PAC-12 has 5, B1G has 1
And kansas is #1, because they didnt get to play themselves. :biglaugh:
