Never will. Confidentiality being honored by everyone at ISU.I never heard any reason why she was actually out?
It could be as simple as she had an overwhelming load of classes this fall in preparation to graduate in the spring. Finals ended Friday and here she is today.I never heard any reason why she was actually out?
Which I mean I get but at the same time I’m not judging any medical issue. The lack of knowing is where my head questions. I think you would see almost universal support.Never will. Confidentiality being honored by everyone at ISU.
She wore a boot for a lower back problem?I had heard it was a back issue, and seems that she had issues in the past like this. Just not this extreme. May or may not be why she was out?
IIRC, it was said this medical issue was unrelated to the stress injury issues for which she was wearing the bootShe wore a boot for a lower back problem?
Ryan was a prodigious scorer in high school and we know she can shoot the three from past seasons, plus she can penetrate and dish. IMO, she has difficulty staying in front of the quicker PG's on defense (Harmon from UT, Franklin from KU, etc.). Belanger (offense) & Jackson (defense) have looked pretty good at PG, and we could also be creative and initiate the offense thru SF Brown. In short, I wonder if Emily might reinvent herself as the starting SG, to be spelled by Joens.
Postscript: Yes, I know she's an all-conference PG with an amazing career Assist / TO Ratio! I'm just thinking about ten-deep minutes for this season and development for the future. I'm a big Kelsey Joens fan and don't want to see her as odd-girl out.
It’s nice having options. This is hard to say, but her being out the first part of the season may be a blessing in disguise in the development of our other PGs. The thing I’d like to see her accomplish is getting the career assist record.
