"The Bulls have presented Tom Thibodeau with a three-year offer to become the 18th head coach in Bulls franchise history and Thibodeau is prepared to accept, according to sources. The deal should be finalized shortly.

Thibodeau, 50, has served as an assistant with seven teams over 18 NBA seasons, including his current position as associate head coach with the Celtics, who are in the NBA Finals.

Sources said Thibodeau is expected to keep Pete Myers on his staff and bring with him former Bulls and current Thunder assistant Ron Adams. Other candidates for his staff include Thunder assistant Mo Cheeks, former Knicks assistant Andy Greer and former Kings coach Eric Musselman."

Thibodeau has been the hottest assistant coach in the league the last few years. If true, it looks like a great hire.

Good hire. Probably one of the hottest commodities in a couple years.

Yea, throwing KG and Ray Allen into the mix really elevated the "rep" of everyone on the Celtics staff. So unless the Bulls can get a former player turned GM(I'm looking at you Steve Kerr) to send them an all star, I don't see this as a great hire, or as an upgrade from VDN. I hope I'm wrong but NBA head coaches are a disposable commodity, this guy was probably better off long term staying a highly regarded assistant.

Do you realize that is exactly what the first post says? We're talking copy and paste.

William Wesley, a member of James' inner circle, is telling people he believes LeBron is leaning heavily toward Chicago. Tom Thibodeau swore he never again wanted an agent. Thibodeau just signed with William Wesley's agency -- 48 hours later, Bulls officials were in LA to meet with Thibodeau and offer him a contract.

It could just be all talk, but remember this isn't like Scott Boras throwing something out there in baseball and is hoping another team will get desperate and offer even more money. No matter where James goes, he's getting a max contract.
