RSS feed broke

I have no idea what RSS means. Is it something to do with the world wide web or lazers?

RSS feed broke, nothing for last 9 days

I posted on this a couple weeks before you did, but it appears CF feeds are functioning again.

For @dirtyninety or anyone else who's interested, RSS is the underlying technology/code that makes it possible for your podcasting app to pull in new podcasts from dozens of different web sites into one location for you to easily use and manage.

You can also use RSS to do the same thing with web site content, so you don't have to visit dozens of web sites for your news every day. Using a web site or app called an RSS feed reader, you subscribe to the feeds you want and every time one of those sources posts something new, it will show up in chronological order in your feed reader. You can read a headline and a sentence or two in the feed reader, then click through and visit the web site for the full story if you want.

RSS stands for rich site summary but it's often called really simple syndication. Feed readers have been around for years, though not many people use them. But in my opinion it's a great tool for the sites you read regularly. You get everything delivered to one place, and you never have to worry about missing anything...it will be there the next time you open your feed reader.

Below is a screen shot of the CF forums feed in my feed reader. New threads show up here and I can decide whether I want to click through and explore them further.
