I liked the part where Round Guy started kissing his *** talking about how he had a rough time recently and basically how he got a bad rap because the world is so worried about political correctness. Yeah, I too yearn for a time when people could yell obscenities on public air waves, damn you political correctness!!
Lack of any other people who can even do a serviceable job at being on air talent, example: Garman and the Round Guy.
Will the media conglomerates that run DM radio PLEASE learn a lesson! Quit recycling talent! Marty had multiple discretions in his past and they got no better at his KXNO employment.
F-Bombfest wasn't the only thing he did. Remember the hole golf trip (U.S. Open ?) /credential fiasco that got him suspended for calling out some insurance agent by name on air ?
Why the heck people will still do business with this degenerate is beyond me...
I for one will NOT be checking his new gig out. I have had enough of his 'act' and quite frankly,the replacement show with Matt Perault and Miller is better than what it replaced.
Fact is, a lot of people enjoy listening to Marty because he's loud, obnoxious, entertaining, and you never know what he's going to say next. Like it or not, that works in radio. The Champ wouldn't take such a risk with a guy like Marty if it didn't think he could compete with 1460. And they certainly wouldn't hire the guy if no one listened or cared what he had to say in the past.
It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Have to admit, I'll listen to Marty to see how he does.

I listened to the interview and it seems to me that they are paying 1700 to air it. He is doing the show from Toyota of DSM, and he mentioned Steve Luebke and Iowa Ortopedics as title sponsors. RG mentioned something like it was 1700 as an "affiliate" of the show. Tirrell will not go in their studio at all. The show will be from Toyota every day. Apparently there are those out there that really believe in MT and are giving him yet another chance. As for me, I am as pleased with Matt and Miller as I hoped.
