NFL: Romeo Crennel to Remain in KC

I liked how they played in the last 3 games under him but I hope they keep that up next season. Seems like players play harder for interim coaches then you don't see it the next season once the manager gets the interim tag removed. Just look at the Vikings this season and the Cubs under Quade is another example in MLB.

I wonder why players do that. I wouldn't think it would be morale boast but maybe the change helps and then they are trying to prove themselves to someone new.

This is my concern with the hire. I hope it works out though.

I just don't know how KC fans can be excited about this. Despite the strong finish, the guy is a proven loser as a head coach. It was in Cleveland though, so hopefully that was the reason.

From my perspective it just seems like one of those hires that is doomed to fail and only the ownership of the Chiefs doesn't see it.

Your first head coaching job doesn't always turn out well especially when it is with the Browns. Just ask Bill Belichick

You answered your own question. It was Cleveland and no matter who is the coach they are still terrible.

He did win 10 games with the Browns just a year before being fired.

Get a decent offensive coordinator and I will be happy with this hire. their defense is pretty good right now. I am a Chiefs fan.
