Roger Clemens Lied??

Say it isn't so! Apparently an 11 year old boy is helping to bring possible perjury charges against Clemens. The boy took pictures showing Clemens at Jose Canseco's party Clemens told Congress he was not at.

Makes Clemens' words about not taking steroids because kids look up to him ring a bit hollow.

Clemon's is gonna become the poster child for this mockery in MLB over Bond's. He had a chance to admit use when there were no rules about it in MLB and save face. He's dug the hole so deep now that there is no possible way to excape a terrible fate.

I know ego is a huge part of it...but why do so many people lie about the wrong things (I know...you should never lie to begin with)? He is going to get nailed over whether or not he attended a party? Why didn't he just say he was there to begin with? To discredit McNamee? Bad choice! No evidence that we know of proving Clemens did use steroids or HGH. Clemens should have denied using and left it at that! Don't open yourself up to any other lies!

That said...he should have just admitted in the beginning that he used both and moved on!

New Evidence Surfaces That Clemens Has Committed Perjury

The New York Daily News reported on Friday that a photograph placing Clemens at a Florida pool party thrown by Jose Canseco in 1998 could contradict Clemens' testimony before a Congressional committee earlier this month that he was not there. Canseco, in a filing with the committee, also said that Clemens did not attend.

The newly surfaced photo is the property of a young man who attended the party when he was 11 years old, the newspaper reported. Richard Emery, a lawyer for McNamee, said he was aware that the photo had been circulating this week.

"We have reason to believe it's reliable evidence," Emery told the Daily News on Thursday. "We believe there's photographic evidence that shows Clemens was at a party he says he wasn't at."

I saw the article about this on espn.com earlier. And to tell the truth this does not surprise me one bit.

Of course doesn't this make Canseco a liar too? If I am not mistaken I believe he made the comment that Clemens wasn't at the party.

There is also a problem that Clemens could be prosecuted for witness tampering since he he spoke with the nanny before she was interviewed by attorneys for the committee.
