RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler

Never saw him during his actual career but i saw a few of his fights on ESPN Classic growing up. Man he had a chin, i believe never knocked down.

Has anyone heard how he died?
This is from TMZ:

4:28 PM PT -- One of Hagler's sons, James, tells TMZ his father was taken to a hospital in New Hampshire earlier on Saturday after experiencing trouble breathing and chest pains at home.

We're told about four hours later, the family was notified he'd passed away. A cause of death is still unknown at this point ... it's also unclear if Hagler's death is COVID related.

Damn...I have never been a boxing guy in the moment but love reading about the history...being a teenager in the 80s...that guy stood out! Wow...he was so good...and so cool! RIP!

OG Badass. Watching Hagler v. Hearns was one of the great boxing moments of my life. Golden era.

Peace be with him.

One of the baddest men on earth in his era! i thought he win the fight against Leonard

That fight was such a sham. Was put off way too long when they were both out of their prime, and as much as I appreciate Sugar Ray, he did nothing throughout most of that fight except run away and then throw flurries in the final 10 seconds of every round hoping to steal it. Which worked.

I don't think younger boxing fans understand what a freak Thomas Hearns was. He was so tall and long for that division, but had such devastating power. Watch some of his KOs and the guys he put down literally had to be shoveled out of the ring. When Hagler went right after him in round 1 it was just proof to the world that Marvin was saying 'nope, I'm the man to be feared here.'
