Might as well tell NDSU exactly when to blitz. One second after the clap. Did not mix this up once the entire game.

Richardson got most of the yards. I have no complaints on Sam.

I saw this snap clap being used last year by some team and I remember thinking... "how idiotic is that?".

So of course, we start using it this year!

I don't really get it either. I kept waiting for him to mix it up.

I noticed that too but I'm not sure that's Richardson's fault. Would be a good question for the call in show.

I don't hate the snap clap if used to manipulate the other team.

For example, I would've loved to have Sam use the snap clap and try and draw NDSU offsides on that 4th and inches.

Ohio St used it last year. Although that was also Braxton Miller...

This is a silly complaint. The clap is just a different version of the "leg lift" that was the traditional signal from the QB of being ready for the snap.

It's used to protect the center. He no longer has to hold his head down and look between his legs to see if the QB is ready. The clap signals the center that the QB is ready. The center can then snap the ball when he's ready. You'll also see QB's clap multiple times to signal the center that the play clock is about to expire.
