Rhoads for Coach of the Year

Dont get me wrong, I love Coach Rhoads, but how can you possibly vote him for coach of the year right now? Yeah, I could see at the end of the year if we have 3 losses maybe.

Agree. Its not even close right now. He would probably say the same.

ISU needs to win about 6 more games before CPR should be considered.

Since when was this really about the coach of the year. It is about the Iowa State voting machine.

in all seriousness, its not about the on field production, its about fanbase tenacity. The publicity would be good for IState

Except it's embarrassing that winning 5 or 6 games at ISU could make you a candidate for Couch of the Year, especially if it's our fans who think so.

Agreed. And from what I have seen so far this season, I would not consider voting for him. Bump this thread if we find a way to 8 or 9 wins and then we can talk.

It should be Bill Snyder and it shouldn't be close.

This is true....in fact Bill Snyder should be at or near the top of the list almost every year. What that guy has done (and doing again) at Kansas State is amazing.

Crucify me if you want, but I'm not voting. It is way too premature.

I don't think wins is all we should look at for Coach of the Year. If a guy wins 10 games a year getting paid twice as much, with a University that is easy to recruit for like USC or Alabama i.e. name recognition then he shouldn't get coach of the year, that is expected. A guy that has to beg and plead for guys to come to BFE Iowa, taking 2 star recruits and making them 3 and 4 star talents..(AJK and JK)...that is the sign of a better coach to me.

Not saying CPR should be the winner, but perhaps we should look at the UL-Monroe coach, that guy is squeezing talent out of the thin air.

I'm glad this is only like 1% of what matters in that.... Mark Farley (1-4) is leading FCS... yea... I don't think Snyder wins it (unfortunately if ND gets to 8 wins I guarantee Brian Kelly gets it.
