Hate to be that guy but its how I'm feeling, so here it is. How many wins do you foresee for the remainder of the season? I feel like 2 is where we're headed. After watching games this weekend I think we lose to TCU, OU, Baylor, TT, and WV; that leaves four winnable games verses OSU, Tex, KU, and KSU. I think we will split the four winnable games and finish at 3 - 9.

Under that scenario, I guess CPR is gone after the season, right? With consecutive seasons of 3-9, 2-10, and 3-9 how could he stay? Thoughts, or am I just beating a dead horse.

FYI. I don't have an axe to grind, I don't want CPR fired. Really I just want to know if y'all are feeling the same about our win potential versus the rest of the conference.

I figured out how to post a poll, Hooray Me!

I only see 1 conference win on the schedule, and that is Kansas.

I feel like we will have usual close games in a few of them: TTU, KSU, UT... But as with before, not be able to finish them off.

Other games, I suspect blowouts. Maybe not 55-60+ blowouts, but 35-40 at least. While we put up 14 or less.

Meanwhile, I think a 2-win season marks a new "change in culture" for next season, but it isn't going to be the players getting booted this time.

We had a quite a few one possession games last year and we were a worse team last year. I think we get KU and 1-2 more. Unfortunately, that still won't be a successful season even for ISU fans standards.

I'll say 2. I don't know where the other one comes from, maybe Kstate.

2 with one being a big upset....which will fire up the debate on CPR's future.

This is going to be a really sadly and pathetically entertaining board if we lose to KU next Saturday.

If we finish 3-9 or 4-8 we sure as hell better fire Rhoads. I think we win 3 total.

Should win: Kansas

Might win 1-2 of these: Texas, KSU, OSU.

Won't win these: TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, WVU, TT.

Final record: 3-9 or 4-8.

I went optimistic with 3 more wins. I'm not sure why.

1. Kansas
2. Win over a team that's even worse than current consensus (maybe somebody like UT)
3. A mild upset that will prove largely meaningless by the time bowl eligibility is off the table, vs. a promising team that fades down the stretch (sounds like West Virginia).

I guess that doesn't sound all that optimistic, does it?

Even with the shoot-self-in-foot results the past two games, this team ought to be capable of 4-8. I simply don't see more than 4 absolutely unbeatable teams in Big 12 this season (unbeatable for ISU, that is).

I was hoping a win against Tech could be in the cards, but if they play against ISU like they did against TCU we'll go down by 40. We just don't seem to be able to, or want to, open up the offense like it would take to score with them.
