So I am one of those plasma donors. Well this morning I was going through the regular check things with temp, BP, heart rate, weight, etc and the guy next to me was getting his done and it was taking a lot longer than normal. They put the cuff on the other arm and did it again must have been similar as they had him go to another machine with the same results, I hear one of the techs say it was still over 160. They made him sit for 10 minutes where you can sit for 5 or 10 minutes if you have a reading out of the required range. Still after the 10 minutes he didn't pass and overheard the nurse say you better go see a doctor right away. Even whey I work out I have hard time getting a pulse that high. I can be like 100 for pulse one day and below 50 two days later. I would think if your resting heart rate was that high you BP would be fairly high also. They guy did not look like he was stressed, red faced, or anything, but dang 160 resting rate seems bad. The guy was not that big either. Anyone else have rate near that? I am normally around 70 range resting.
