Mantanona to Oklahoma

Smith lost to Allar in SV at Super 32 and place 3rd. He placed above Mantanona but not sure if they wrestled.I expect most of our recruits except maybe Coleman to improve their rankings based on what they did this fall.

Smith also beat Van Anrooy twice this summer. We were recruiting Layne Van Anrooy & he verballed to Michigan

Stopping in to see if anyone else has heard this. A buddy from MN said he spotted Allar on MN's campus the other weekend wearing a goofer hat. Did he reopen his recruiting? Still a clone Commit? Talented recruit hope he doesn't change his mind.

Allar is from same school as Thorn & McKee and they are good friends. I hope he stays solid to Iowa State, but he has not reopened his recruitment

That's what I thought originally too but my friend said he was with more wrestlers than them. He was sitting near the wrestling coaches at a FB game so to him it seemed like a visit. Left with that crowd also. KJ didn't like Mantanona reconsidering so it makes me nervous.

A little different, but I think we need to keep recruiting him.

He spent much of his high school career around a lot of these guys.

Mantanona had no ties to Oklahoma.

At the same point, I think we have to keep recruiting Allar because of his strong ties to Minnesota.
Not sure we would have got him if the debacle never happened at Minnesota
