So I saw there were a few threads regarding what people though of Rhoads recruiting, however my main concern from Saturday beyond the embarrassment factor and my question to you all, What impact does that loss have on our class for next year in regards to keeping guys committed?

I don't know if it really makes a difference. I think recruits probably tend to look at the big picture more than one loss.

One loss will have minimal, if no impact. If we see this all season, then there may be reason for concern.

This is pretty much what I think as well but I don't follow recruiting close enough to know if what I think is generally in line with what tends to happen in these situations.

Are you serious? Do you think all of KSU recruits just backed out of their agreement? Did you think all the players who watched Michigan get blown out by Appy State? Nuff said.

I'm not suggesting that's whats going to happen. I don't really following recruiting which is why I asked.

Saturday night didn't cost us any committed recruits. Though it might have cost us guys who were on the fence. However, if we follow this up with a 2-10 or 3-9 season (or worse) then losing to an FCS team might very well be what recruits point to when they switch commitments.

I think they saw a significant amount of playing time available if they come to ISU.

The recruting impact of this game is that Fred can now sell that we are a basketball school and all the attention of the fans will be focused on basketball.

only half kidding.

bye bye Lazzard

No way Saturday cost us Lazard. But if we waste our WRs all season I bet he starts to have second thoughts. We've got decent talent at WR this year and a QB who is actually pretty accurate. Lets use them!! Iowa's DBs seem to be the worst unit on their team. So if we don't hit them and hit them hard Messingham needs to be escorted out of the booth at halftime, and Rhoads needs to be asked some pretty serious questions about why he allowed that to happen.
