Recruit Lists v2.0

If you transfer from one d1 school to another d1 school you have to sit out a full school year at your new school before you can play regardless or not if you played at the last school.

I am questioning this because Tim Floyd stashed Dedric Willoughby at IHCC when he sat out after transferring from New Orleans. I was thinking McKay could do likewise at IHCC for less cost than enrolling at ISU.

McKay doesn't have any Juco eligibility left.

Yes, I know that. Willoughby didn’t play at IHCC. Floyd stashed him there until he was eligible to play for ISU. I was wondering if Fred could do likewise with McKay. IHCC would likely be a cheaper alternative than ISU if McKay has to pay his own school bills for one semester.

He's also visiting November 14th, which is a Thursday with no game. Hopefully it's just a typo and he's really visiting for the Michigan game. That's shaping up to be a huge recruiting weekend with Vaughn and Deyonta Davis already visiting.

If Josh Cunningham doesn't choose ISU, I see ISU going extreme full court recruitment with Rashad Vaughn and passing up on any other 2014 high school recruits in favor of picking up a transfer in May or June. I'm okay with that.

Can't say I'm surprised at all. To me lately, it has seemed that our priority list goes as follows:

1. Rashad Vaughn
2. Josh Cunningham
3. Hold back remaining scholarships to see what we can score in the transfer market at the end of the season

This makes a lot of sense. It seems like we aren't looking at any many 3* kids anymore. It's mostly 4* and 5* kids. If we miss, we'll wait and see who's on the transfer market. I like it. Transfer season is almost as fun as regular recruiting season these days.

I'd love to pick up a 5th year center for next year. I don't like the idea of Niang playing the "5" on defense when Ejim leaves.

I tend to agree with you. Its almost like we have two different recruiting seasons here to follow at ISU. One happens before the season and during it while the other happens after the season is over.

agreed, I really think not being able to recruit the other Indian Hills guy because of a full scholarship situation stings. Could have been a huge addition that fell into our laps and instead, we just lose a guy.

I assumed that this was the case anyway. It sure seemed like it.
