Going on trip to Denver later this week with a group of friends. Anyone have any recommendations for things we definitely need to do/see while we are in town? Always interested in breweries, good places to eat, hiking, etc.

Any insight would be much appreciated

If you have time, the New Belgium Brewery in Ft. Collins is a great tour. The best brewery tour I've been on to date.

your rough age and where you hope to be staying will help guide this conversation. There is tons to do as people will offer up, and nearly a brewery on every corner. Two that are owned by ISU alums are Dry Dock and Living the Dream. They aren't downtown however.

Log on to the AXS tv app. Look up whoever is playing at Red Rocks amphitheater and buy tickets through the app. Go there regardless of who is playing. Sit in row 38. Repeat every night you're in Denver.

Breweries on every corner isn't far from the truth. Hiking trails are also abundant. Help us to narrow it down by telling us where you will be staying or other things you will be doing.

I was there in June. I recommend a day in Boulder and at least a morning/afternoon of hiking. If you do not want to travel too far outside of the Metro, Check out either Red Rocks (open to the public but check concert schedule) or Roxborough State Park is an easy drive with easy trials for a quick hike with beautiful scenery! I also recommend checking out a couple dispensaries just for the experience as its fun to see the commercial side of that industry and the diversity of the clientele. A Rockies game is a great summer activity and the Coors tour is time well spent!

I'd drive out to Rocky Mountain National Park for a day - stunning.

Also, maybe you want to hang out with Monte Morris and Amber Rose :)

There is a group of 7 of us going (we are all around 25-26 years old). It looks like we are staying near Rosedale in an Airbnb if that helps at all?

Don't eat the whole container of gummy bears even if you "don't really feel anything after the first half hour".
Beaver Ranch disc golf course in Conifer.

When you do this... drive to Loveland first and take Rt 34 through the mountains to Estes Park. This drive... was mind-blowing for me, such feels.

If you get to town on Thursday, I think there is a Big 12 HH at Govnr's Park.[/QUOTE]

Declaration Brewing is very close to that. Another one not too far away is Boggy Draw. I'd also recommend Illegal Pete's and Jerusalem for food.

If you like Breweries, the River North (RiNo) area is a great spot for a bunch of good breweries clumped together.

We did a walking tour of these breweries. I can't remember the name of the company who led it, but they walked us around to 5 or 6 different places and gave us the history of each brewery. The tour ended at Black Shirt Brewing Co. We enjoyed it.

Pearl street in boulder is pretty touristy.
The red rock apitheater is great. I think once a week during the summer they screen a movie there.
Went and saw the original Ghost Busters years ago.

Yeah, that would be really cool. When I went up there my uncle, cousin and I had bikes and went around to about 8 in the afternoon. Riding back to the Bus Station that night was.... interesting haha.

But forreal, the RiNo area has an outrageous amount of breweries in a really small area, so you can find what you like if you really wanted to.

Yeah, if they can get out to Boulder, I think it's worth at least a day trip for sure. Cool little town nestled right at the base of the mountains and a lively community.

Ours was Aspire Tours. They do all kinds of outdoor tours and stuff around Denver. It was nice because you paid for the tour and that included 4 or so 4 oz tastes at each location. The walk back from Black Shirt to our car was interesting, though. This was about 3 yrs ago when that area was still a little rough. We were glad it was day time!
