I'm looking for a doctor/clinic in the Des Moines area. I haven't really had a family doctor for the last 15 years and haven't gone to the doctor regularly during that time. Kind of getting to that age I probably should be going and am looking for kind of a one-stop place. Health, nutrition, general wellness I guess you could say.

So I was seeing if any one here has input of a place they go and like.

Thanks in Advance.

It would probably help if you'd indicate what side of town you're wanting.

It really doesn't matter to me. I live where WDM, DM, Urbandale and Windsor Heights meet, and work downtown. So WDM, DM, Johnston heck even Ankeny would be fine with me. I just want a place that people can speak to that have had the quality of life bettered because of it. I'm getting sick and tired of being sick and tired.

If people don't want to post here and just want to shoot a PM, I would really appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about your ills.

I really like Dr Brochardt at the Mercy South Clinic, although it is not real convenient living on the NW side of DM and driving to southside for appts. Especially if you're feeling like crap. Fortunately, I'm rarely needing a Dr. so I'm OK with the drive when needed.

If I wasn't already going to Borchart, I'd be happy going to Dr Beebencee(sp?) at the Mercy Clinic on Merle Hay Rd (near the mall). He's a family Dr and that is where we take our daughter. He is a great listener and doesn't rush you through.
