Ray Lima Retires

Dang but he was indeed undersized for the NFL. Odds were stacked against him, especially this year. I'm a Dolfan and would've loved to root for him.

Ray was a great Cyclone, on and off the field. I wish him the best. I wonder if coaching might be in his future.

Reading his story on how he got to JUCO and eventually Iowa State, its clear he's a hard worker. I'm sure he'll be successful at whatever he decides to do.

Strange, I could've sworn he was our top draft prospect going into 2019. Didn't realize size was an issue

Ya, especially when Warren Sapp was 6'0'' 280 at best and never worked out, but could run a 4.69 forty. Ray can plug holes but you gotta be more than that in the NFL.

Yep. Everyone wants a wrecking ball DT who can collapse the pocket.

Anyway, good for Ray for knowing what he wants and doesn't want to do. Great Cyclone and a linchpin for the defense the last three years.

Ray is awesome. He is up there with guys like David Montgomery and Marcel Spears in building the player-driven leadership culture at ISU. There are great guys that were tremendous student athletes. Ray went a step above and was a great Student-Athlete-Community Member.
