#3 - Campbell and Iowa State entered last year with the highest of expectations after returning a number of players from a team that reached the Big 12 Championship Game. Instead, the Cyclones went 7-6, losing in the Cheez-It Bowl, and Campbell fell three spots. This is still a high national ranking for him, and Iowa fans will certainly point out that it’s one spot ahead of Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz, who owns a perfect record against Campbell’s Iowa State teams. The Cyclones have significantly lower expectations this year, at least outside the program, which means Campbell can do what he does best: surprise.

Playing the devil's advocate here, Campbell's team loaded with talent last year grossly underperformed expectations. Thus, it's hard for me to justify this relatively high ranking. But this may also say more about the others than it does CMC, I get that too.
Guy hasn’t lost less than 7 games since year 1 and won a Fiesta Bowl.

What has #4 done to deserve his ranking?

Sit this one out.

Won four national championships. #4 seems about right for him. If hiring a coach today from the ten, I'd go:

Aranda
Venables
Gundy
Klieman
Campbell
Dykes
Sark
Brown

Leipold
McQuire
Why is Craig Bohl still at Wyoming?

Won four national championships and filled the shoes of a legend without much turmoil. #4 seems about right for him. If hiring a coach today from the ten, I'd go:

Aranda
Venables
Gundy
Klieman
Campbell
Dykes
Sark
Brown

Leipold
McQuire
Now do the part where you talk about what they have actually done since they have been coaching at the schools they are actually at and this ranking is based on.

I suggest you read the piece. It was not my ranking. I already said, I thought it was poorly constructed for several coaches.

I am talking about your ranking and the rankings you put together. What are you rankings based on then?

I said mine was based on if hiring a coach today. So, that will include personality, ability to recruit, ability to coach, past performance, and the like.

Anywhere. He really establiblished NDSU and won multiple Nattys. Klieman continued it.
Again, the Nattys there are what you are using to justify Klieman now.
No, NDSU has been good since the 60s. They won 8 national championships with an overall record of 347–94–4 having only 2 losing seasons from 1964 to 2003.

That seems rather harsh. I'd say that coming into this year for him is rather like Campbell coming into last year at Ames. High expectations. We'll see who performs better. I suspect HCCK will do better than 7-6, don't you?

7-5 is my guess. You'll probably get a low end bowl with a favorable opponent, so maybe end with 8-5.
