I live in Omaha, so I do not get to watch the Cyclones as much as I would like. Last night, I had the opportunity to watch them, YAY:notworthy: I don't care what anyone says, this guy is a STUD! He impressed me so much last night, he plays with so much intensity and the other players seem to feed off of him. Also, on another note, has anyone noticed the disgust on the players faces that Rahshon is guarding?? I think he really disrupts the other teams offense...

he is a complete stud as well as a great competitor the question is is he good enough to go pro?

I don't know, that is a great question... It seems like he could maybe be a defensive stopper.
 
If Rashon doesn't have what it takes to go pro, I hope he comes back to be an assistant and we can groom him to become our next head coach. Don't get me wrong I hope that isn't for the next 20 years but I think he would be a great head coach someday.
 
What about Lee? Hopefully Rahshon can teach him a few tricks. A great defensive player is a huge key for a team. They single handedly can disrupt a teams offensive gameplan and disrupt a strong offensive players rhythm.
 
I don't know RC personally but I'll make a blanket statement from my observations of him on tv and radio, he's a class act all around and most coaches probably wish they had a roster full of Rashon's. I'll miss him when his days are over at ISU... he's crazy athletic but the pro's are a big ? mark. Perhaps NBDL in Des Moines to see where he stands at that level first? or Europe? It will be interesting to see how he pans out through the Big 12 season. He doesn't always put up huge numbers but he does so many intangibles and things that don't show up in the stat box.
 
He has really had a great year. It is going to be so difficult to replace him especially on the defensive end of things.

Lee is only going to get better, but he has his own thread going a few pages back.
 
I watched on tv last night, Rahshons best play of the night was when he dove on the court for the ball and the MU guy didn't see him coming. You could hear his elbows and knees hitting the floor with a big thud. BJ and his sidekick said those are the types of plays that win games for you. Far out Rahshon, show the kids how to play the game.

Sorry, but I would give Rahshon a 0% chance of playing in the NBA. He could maybe catch on overseas some where. He has been great for Iowa State though, and has been a good leader for the team this past couple of years, but let's be honest he does have some pretty big holes in his game. He'll go down ranked high in a lot of categories at Iowa State though and a guy that will be remembered for a long time.
 
6'5"-6'6" is a guard in the NBA but he doesn't have the guard skills for the NBA. At least not right now. He's got NBA athletic ability. Maybe he'll grow 4". :)

I'd pay a lot of money to have him back next year.

That is a great point. He is a fantastic defender in college, but the NBA is a huge step above college.
 
People have said that if you can do one thing really, really well (like rebound or defend) you can usually find a spot on somebody's roster. I don't know if he's a good enough defender to fit that category but no one ever thought Bruce Bowen would do anything in the league and he didn't until he learned how to play suffocating defense.

Bowen is also pretty deadly from 3.
