I was lucky enough to get to talk to Ali in Chicago in the winter of 68-69. Me and a buddy were in downtown Chicago about midnight and it was freezing and nobody was around, then we came upon Ali and his brother at a corner waiting for a cab. We were so excited we about pi$$ed our pants, but we had to talk to him and he was very friendly. Very sad day for the country and the world losing the champ. He was not only the greatest as a boxer but the way he handled such a terrible disease with so much courage, humor and humility only added to the legend that he was.
