"Our goal is to be an equal partner in any network, and we think it ought to be the goal of every other member of any conference that we're a part of to be an equal member of that conference," Boren said. "We all ought to value each other -- every single member of that conference -- and none of us should seek to play a stronger leadership role than anyone else."

So if Texas goes with them to Pac 12 and keeps their LHN just with Pac 16 thrown in, Oklahoma still is going to be shorter in money from what I gather....Whats the point of moving the issue from one conference to another???? Plus they have how many hour flights and trave expenses to travel to the NE corner of the US.

Oh I get it .....Someones not using their head.

Texas needs to pull their head out of their ***, but OU has to go about things in a different way. They both suck.

This guy is as slimy as they come. He was interviewed when the reports first came out about OU's possible interest in exploring conference affiliation. In that interview he was extremely arrogant, and the message (in substance and tone) was "we are OU and we are the best in athletics, rich in academics and will operate in the best interests of the University." I can appreciate needing to watch out for his school, but to say that he cares, even remotely, for the "forgotten 5" is a total lie. This guy is being a politician to make sure that OU's image won't be tainted when they move to the PAC-12.

That guy IS a politician. Former US Senator for OK from the left side of the aisle. What do you expect (from a politician not necessary a lib)?

Where was their so called desire for equal revenue sharing last year when negotiations were taking place? Why now? Concern for LHN? Why didn't they raise the concern last year? Didn't think ESPN would program high schools football? What the heck did they think they would program, Australian Rules Football?

OU is just throwing their Lil' Abner weight around.
