I'm not a gamer but was wondering if there are any quality flight simulators out there for home use? I know there are, just not sure what constitutes a good one...

Microsoft is finally coming out with a new release of their Microsoft Flight Simulator in 2020. If it's anything like Flight Simulator X then it'll be the cream of the crop when it comes to simulators.

I spent way too long one afternoon watching Youtube videos. I found this one about MS Flight SIm 2020.

I already told my wife I may quit my job for a while once it comes out

I legitimately thought when I clicked on this that Leath did something stupid again. Those things look cool though. Carry on.

XPlane is the best right now but FS2020 seems to be poised to take that title next year. Infinite Flight is a great one too.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check a few out.

Unfortunately as gaming goes the system requirements get a big hefty. I won a free copy of XPlane 11 and a control system (yoke, pedals etc) at Oshkosh this year but don't have a computer capable of operating it and I am not about to ask my wife if we can spend $1k+ on a computer just to run it.

That's right don't ask go do it!;) You could always call it a anniversary/christmas gift.

FS2020 is going to be available on Xbox one, will it be worth playing on that platform? Or will I need a powerful gaming computer to get the most out of it?
