When we fouled them and the ball went out of bounds. Did he just see that they missed the foul call and give them the ball. It was clearly out on them and it was a clear foul on us. They missed the foul. Can the official within the rules actually change the call because they blew the first part of the call? No way it went off our guy and he replayed it.

Im not
Mad about the play. Clearly we fouled but what is the rule there? Anyone know

They are not supposed to take the foul under review, it 'should' purely be who touched the ball last.

I don't have a problem with how it was called. The refs have historically bent how the rule book is applied, just think how they call blocks/charges. Technically speaking defenders have the same right to space as the ball handler.

It was dumb but it a saved everyone time by not having to then call a weak make up 10 seconds later to give them the ball back.

The rule needs to be changed to consider if the out of bounds was influenced by an in -called foul. ISU lost at least one game last year when they were clobbered then lost the ball out of bounds late. The call was not by the rules but the way it should be called.

If they don’t call a foul... this is a clear make up ******** do over.
