Hi guys! I am coming back to Iowa Oct. 5 for my 68 birthday. So I am wanting to go to the game that Saturday went they play TCU. Is the pubic parking easy to get or will I have a problem with that. Don't want to get tickets and then have problem getting a parking spot. Thanks Merrill

There are a couple of grass public lots just NE of the stadium (University/4th St intersection) on 4th street. $20 in the past, so I imagine still the same. One is the "Haunted Forest" lot and shares the same entrance as Cyclone Club grass lot permit parking. The other is a bit farther east past the creek on the other side of the street. Both decent walking distance.

I was planing on getting there early! I wanted to walk around to see the changes. Thanks for the help

If you want to see some of campus while you're here, consider parking in the MU ramp or the newer East Deck ramp on Wallace Rd. Then you can wander central campus before walking over to the game. You would still be paying for parking but I don't think it would add up to the $20.

Heard yesterday the family that runs the Haunted Forest rented out 2 sections of the parking lot for Iowa folks. The way north end to Allied Oil and a portion of the west side south of the driveway. Supposed to have a DJ, food and drink for around 900 people.

Need to close it down on the 14th, Hazmat site. Time for the barricades.

Must be a pretty good payment to upset your regulars that wont be able to park there for that game.

I met the owner in Memphis while in the hotel hot tub for the bowl game a few years back, super nice guy. Said he bought an ambulance years ago and when the haunted house is running at night he will drive that in with the lights on to make people think someone got hurt.

If your pretty good at walking there are quite a few options. If you need handicap parking you should contact the athletic department like tomorrow and see if they can help you out.
