ISU got a huge kick off return from Jackson to start the game, but the kicking game and field position favored Iowa the rest of the way.

Iowa had a 31 yard punt return late 3rd quarter, and an 18 yard punt return early 4th quarter. These big returns helped keep momentum with Iowa during a key stretch of the game.

ISU had zero yards punt returns the whole game.

Iowa punted four times, pinning ISU at their own 11, 13, 35, and 19 yard line, for an average start of 19.5.

ISU punted four times, giving Iowa starting positions of 40, 50, 40, and 41, for an average start of 42.75.

Brandtner's 4 kicks were 45, 37, 38, and 24 yards (average 36), but the net average after returns and penalties was only 23.25 yards.

It wasn't the punt coverage specialists fault, it was brandtner, he has terrible hangtimes on his punts. Greibhan had his first two touchbacks of his career, he his starting to show some leg. But punting from brandtner, and kickoff coverage (even though they showed some improvement) need to be fixed.

P.S. I miss Tony and Troy

Were the touchbacks with the wind? That's what I figured, since he hasn't really shown that much leg yet all year.

Brandtner is undependable. One good, one bad, one good, one bad. We have to be better than that.
