Headed to Punta Cana and trying to figure out if you can bring a disposable razor in a carry on coming IN to Punta Cana. I know it's not allowed when you leave as it is on the list of prohibited items published by the Punta Cana airport for carry on luggage, but I assume that is when going through security to head back to the US. Since TSA allows disposable razors, shouldn't it be fine for traveling there and then just throw them away before heading back to US? I have googled my life away trying to find an answer to this question with no avail so coming to CF for real life experience answers. Thx in advance!

You are putting way too much thought into this. Going through customs in DR involves walking through a turnstile and handing them your passport to stamp. Throw them away on your way back so you don't worry about it.

Never been so don’t know. Appreciate the insight.

Why not forget the razor and grow out your beard? Went when visitors still had to pay cash to enter and exit (but now it's included in your ticket price).

Don't know where you're staying but if it's at one of the all-inclusives, you will be able to purchase side trips from a tour operator. Highly recommend buying the day trips to San Juan and also to Paraiso Cano Hondo, in Los Haitises National Park. Super interesting.

Also, no matter how many stars your hotel has, do not drink the water. Don't forget and put your toothbrush under the tap, either. You may live to regret it.
