I think everyone can agree this year's team lacks some intensity and perhaps direction at times.

One can't help but wonder if this isn't something that starts at the top. After just watching what might be the most intense team in college basketball (West Virginia), which happens to be coached by someone who is probably the most intense coach in college basketball you have to think the two may be connected. With maybe the exception of Matt Thomas, I think a coach like Huggins would be leaving these guys crying on the bench. Some like it, some don't but it gets results.

Just wonder if it bothers anyone else to see Texas build a lead at the end of the first half while Prohm (quite literally) squatted on court silently for nearly 3 minutes?

When you start coaching a team that has already been winning its pretty hard to come in and do a 180 on everyone and have them buy in.

This isn't his team. He will totally earn his pay next year. Those will be his players for the most part.

Correct. But at what point does the coach and team accept that things are not working and make changes. If Prohm tries to make changes and does not get buy in, than this team is stupid.

He's gonna earn his pay this year by getting raked over the coals for not doing more with this group. Not saying it's his fault, but he will get blamed. And will earn his $$$

Prohm is running a lot of Fred's stuff. Really, how much should he have tried to change? The Seniors need to be leading in effort and helping Prohm. The guy has gone out of his way to make it a good transition.

I really think we miss Naz in the floor.

Did he blame fred when he did it? Nope. I asked why he didn't have a problem last year but does this year.

Fred's teams routinely had intensity issues as well - this was talked about throughout his time at Iowa State. Steve Prohm is the current coach regardless of who coached these players in the past. If he cannot get his team to buy in that is not a failure of the players, that is a failure of a coach.

Did i miss where fred won a national title and they played defense with the exact same players? Yet new guy is supposed to come in and do the exact opposite of fred? Stupid. This is not prohm. This team has played soft sind Kane and ejim left.

The consensus for those defending CSP is that he has identified the problem but he is choosing not to address them for fear of making the players unhappy? I am struggling with that one.

Prohm is not as good as an offensive coach. He is trying to make up for it by getting the team to play defense. This team is NOT buying into it. They don't play defense they don't play tough. I think prohm is a good coach and look forward to seeing his teams in action. This is not his team. Hopefully it will be by the end of the season but I seriously doubt it.
