Preseason Rankings

Boise State really has things rolling out there between FB and Wrestling w/ both in top 5. Can anyone else top this?
 
How is it Cyler Sanderson can wrestle. I would have thought he would be done because he already used up his redshirt year.
 
ISU will have 2 national champions; Iowa 1.
Reader and Varner
Metcalf; who won't have a close match all year due to last years finals.
 
One wonders how close the team rankings are, and how much the transfer of Sanderson and Clark hurt ISU. Oh well, hopefully their replacements will make up for it.

Are you kidding? Iowa is deep with talent again this year. They will be tough to beat whenever we face them and on paper could walk away with the national championship again.

Varner, yes
Reader, no way, but maybe you meant Gallick cause I could see that.

Also don't count out Dennis, Erekson or Keddy for Iowa.

Do we have to talk smack this early? The National title will come down to Iowa and ISU. Yes, IA is slightly favorite now but there are almost 6 months before Nationals and I lot can happen with injuries, grades and wrestlers not wrestling to expectation. Both team could have a ton of AA. Can we leave it at that and wait until at least December before handing IA the team title?

BTW, Long will be better this season then Clark was last year. Carr needs to get more consistant but is very dangerous.

Didn't ISU supposedly have the most returning this year, off last year's squad?

I wonder if Cael's departure moved us down a notch? Did losing Cyler impacts us that much? Is iowa just that strong again? Any or all of the above?

Just asking. I don't follow wrestling all that close.

Regardless, nothing to sneeze at with #2, that's for sure.

Maybe you should have quoted heyguy85 then. I never said anything about Iowa winning the title and I never said anything about Long or Clark either. So maybe you need to reread what I posted.

Special circumstances -- "Yo NCAA -- my brother was my coach and he went to another school. Please let me wrestle my final year with him as my coach."

ISU said that was fine and so it is.

Unless you are someone who does follow wrestling and is a fan of isu. being number 2 is nice, but we have gone far to long without a national championship. it needs to happen, and happen soon.
