Nice to see four Cyclones on the list from the defense.
Is the LB from Oklahoma THAT good or is he just going to have the best stats because he has no help?
Bold prediction: Purdy has better stats at the end of the year than Ehlinger
If this comes true, Ehlinger will still be 1st team and Brock will be 3rd....

Pretty good list, really. I tried to find an offensive position that I felt I could replace with a Cyclone, but I couldn't. Purdy would have the best argument, but Ehlinger will check more boxes nationally.
I selfishly wanted to see Mike Rose, but they went heavy on upper-classmen defensively. And we had to let other teams feel important too I guess.

I think you could make a case for Kene for Kick Returner too.
I don't think its that bold. I think a couple QBs might supplant him there. Jalen Hurst for one.

He's been absent from the team's summer workouts. Which wouldn't necessarily be a big deal in and of itself. What's interesting is that when asked, an OU spokesperson couldn't confirm Brooks' status. You would think they they would at the very least be able to say whether or not he's still a member of the team. Probably a story worth following, although I'm sure OU has another 4 or 5 star kid ready and waiting in the wings.

Yeah, the All Big 12 Cyclones on the offensive side are in the NFL now. I still look for someone to make the post season first team from ISU.

Do they only do a first team? I always thought there was 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team and honorable mention. Having four defensive players on the 1st team is excellent. There's a lot of hype on that side of the ball and rightfully so.
I really like Ehlinger, but I have a hard time seeing him stay healthy all year due to his style of play. I would probably put Hurts 1st team over him because of that, and Oklahoma has a QB-friendly system
The best news for the Cyclones is that two players who aren't on that first team All Conference squad, may be the best two players on the D...Uwazurike and Rose.
