I think Barnes is finally starting to give up on playing Holmes at the 3, which is bad for the rest of the Big 12. I'm hoping he was just trying to match up with OU's 3 guards, and goes back to the big lineup.

Agreed, Holmes went from one of the premiere players/scorers in the league to a complete after thought this season at the 3.

looking at his rate numbers, he's regressed slightly in blocks and rebounds, shoots more threes and a bit higher percentage, but the biggest different between last year and this year is that his 2FG% dropped from 58% to 45%. I think that means he's getting a lot less dunks and layup and taking a lot more jump shots.

This is exactly why I don't think we will win at Texas. Texas is a different animal when they go smaller and put Holmes at the 4.
