It's obvious to anyone who pays attention to sports but I'm sure this will get our little brother upset to hear it. We have the best football, basketball and wrestling coaches in the state. Honestly it's remarkable how well Pollard has done at his job since he's been here. Not only in hiring some elite staff members but with how he's marketed and completely taking over the Des Moines metro in terms of fan support

I am proud of our coaches and would not trade them for anyone at TOE, but their coaches are no slouches.
Biggest difference is our AD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Barfa.
Ferentz is a decent coach, he was very good in the 2000's. Fran sucks and Brands turned a top wrestling program in the country to 3rd or 4th best in their own conference. Heller is supposedly good though

Dresser just won National Coach of the Year and CMC is one of the best young minds in the business. No school would ever take Ferentz over CMC. If you're going off accomplishments give Ferentz the nod for sure because he's 30 years older

So i agree that ISU coaches offer more potential if you were starting or rebuilding a program. That doesn’t make them “better” than Iowa coaches as you stated. You can be old and still be a good coach, shoot Ferentz is the 5th all time winningest coach in the Big Ten.

If you think Kirk Ferentz is a better football coach than Matt Campbell right now I don't know what to tell ya
In football we have the hotter, younger coach. But to flat out say he's a better coach than Ferentz who's won 152 games and 60% of all his games is a little short-sighted in my opinion. He might be boring, but he gets results.
Fair enough, I do agree that I wouldn't trade Campbell for Ferentz. But i'll give Ferentz credit for his sustained success.

Dresser is reigning Coach of the Year for a reason but you could at least argue that one for Brands because he's had a much better job (even though he's turned them into a team that can't even compete for conference runner up anymore)
7 of the top 10 at NCAAs were from the B1G and Iowa finished 4th behind a couple other B1G teams who finished 1-2. Dresser is awesome and I love where the wrestling team is at currently and likely headed. I'm a firm believer that KD can get us up there as a consistent trophy team and NC hopeful. Having said that, Iowa hasn't fallen off by any means and I hope they don't. I want us to take them down at their best so they have no excuses.
So one coach of the year award outweighs 13 straight years of top 5 ncaa finishes? Keno Davis was once coach of the year, is he a good coach?
I understand where you're coming from. Dresser has 11 COY Awards under his belt though and what he did at Va Tech was unheard of
