I think the Clones have improved as the year has gone on. However, it has also coincided with our good games coming against some bad teams. So I think there are two variables that we don't know the mix of yet.

To me, this will be the game to see how much we've improved and how things may shape up for next year.

I think Texas has the best defensive line we've faced in a couple years and it's going to come down to if we can exploit their weaker secondary and keep Ewers from getting in rhythm. When he's on, he's elite. When he's off, he's horrible.

I will be unpopular here, but I think we get boat raced. :campbell:

I think we either win or lose by multiple scores. Depends on which Texas team shows up. I'd have more confidence if Kansas hadn't owned us under the lights a few weeks ago. At least we're not Penn St. under Franklin which would be guaranteed to lose this game by 2 scores.

UT with about two more losses would be a better situation.

But they've still got things ahead of them

Aren't we something like 4-15 in 1 score games?
We have a tendency to keep it close, so that means we have a chance. But not a great chance.
I think we'll keep it within 7.5, but still will be prepared for a kick to the stones.

I would not touch this one at all in real life, but if I did, I’d take the 7.5 here. Texas lost their #1 running back last week, and while Ewers is back, I do think he’s still dinged up. They have good receivers, but I think TJ can lock one of them down. Cooper’s status is crucial, IMO.

I'd be a bit surprised if we get blown out. Texas is really good, but they are not the same as the offensive juggernauts we saw running the high flying/air raid spread offenses during the Chizik/Rhoads years when we just could not keep up. They are not Art Briles Baylor, or Bob Stoops OU. Or 2011 Oklahoma State with Brandon Weeden and Dez Bryant (who we beat). The days of getting boat raced like that are about over. Granted, I did not think what happened to our guys in Norman earlier this season would ever happen again either. So take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. Go Cyclones in either an outright win or one score loss!

Solid post! Xavier Worthy will be a handful, even for Tampa. I think Tampa and Purchase will share the duty of covering him. I do wonder how much man we'll see defensively.

AD Mitchell is no slouch either, in fact, he has most of their scores, no?
