I think we covered a lot of solid ground here. Very informative stuff. Enjoy.

Very informative. Helped me make room in my sports mind for including basketball.

P.S. Is TJ starting to distance himself from CW? I missed the friendly banter that these guys used to have. TJ always seemed to take a nice jab or two at CW, but none today.

I thought he said last year he wouldn’t cover bb because he and TJ were good friends. I may have heard that incorrectly.

Did I hear that Curtis Jones comp correctly? Whoa.
Man, if that doesn't get you excited for next month, nothing will.
TJ definitely not damping expectations for the new guys.
You can feel the excitement TH has to show the fanbase what he's seeing in practice from the new guys realized in Hilton.

Chris, The discussion on trash talking and TJ's comments on Niang and the level of research he did and incorporated into his trash talk BEGS for a follow-up pod with Georges to share some of his favorites!

Alternatively you could do one like the special on Larry Bird's trash talking in the NBA when they had teammates and competitors provide the examples.

What minute/seconds appx is this? Sounds funny as hell.

Edit: found it. Really funny stuff.

I don't cover the hard news stuff. Don't ask him questions in pressers, that type of stuff. I certainly feel comfortable going to a game and analyzing it though. I can be unbiased in my analysis of the sport and breaking down the team. Feel like I have proven that over the last 20 years. I have always been open about wanting Iowa State to win. I certainly would not have myself covering any sort of a TJ hard news story though.

I'm not being a homer or exaggerating, I think this team is going to a Final 4 this year. I love the frontcourt depth with Tre, Ward, and Rob. I think Watson takes a huge leap. I think the additional outside scoring of Milan, Curtis Jones, and the UNLV transfer are huge. Lipsey is a seasoned sophomore now. Oh yeah, and there's that guy named Omaha. This team seems as deep and talented as Fred's best teams...and they actually play defense.

We are a fringe Top 25 team as it stands. Anything more than that is gravy. We do have more high level young talent than ever between Milan and Omaha and that raises our ceiling. Freshmen contributions can be inconsistent and you should expect as much.
