Player you are most excited to see this season

For me, it's Jirehl Brock. Breece is going to get his, but if we can do a 70/30 split and count on Brock for 50ish yards a game I think we are going to be REALLY good. That would allow Breece to have a lot left in the tank late in games which is scary for defenses.

Will McDonald. He's the best pass rusher ISU has ever had and it's not particularly close.

If you are looking for one of the less obvious players, I'd go with whoever steps up to be the 2nd receiver (Shaw, Scates, or Wilson).

Isheem Young

I love dbacks that destroy people and take away their will to be in the secondary. I have to imagine that with a year of learning how to do that with more nuance, he is going to become our star in the secondary. Love me some Eisworth but Young's athletic skills are a step up.

I am fascinated by JR starting at NT though, that bears watching.

I really enjoy watching Breece, but outside of the obvious I'm excited to see what Jirehl can do and if Noel is the real deal. On defense McDonald and Isheem are always great to pay close attention to, but excited to see if a guy like Amos can fit in at a Safety spot.

Milton, if he is back to where he was in 2019, I feel sorry for opposing secondaries given that Xavier is a beast and our TEs are elite.

This is what I came here to say. I love this team so excited to see them all. If it's excited as in favorite player to watch period it's probably Charlie/Chase/Rose for me.

If it's excited as in if this guy is on the field and contributing then wow we could take another step forward it's Scates/Tampa.

If it's excited as in this guy has been good in the past but he's taken a big step and damn this could be an unbelievable season it's Purdy.

To add to this, if Scates reaches his potential, AND Milton returns to form. That’s a dang scary offense with the rest of the weapons. And that’s not even factoring in the hype around Noel.
