Curious to hear what % of corn planting the farming fanatics have done, or what it is in your area. Last nights storms make for a very slow morning, and the inch + of rain that they have forecast for Wednesday has everybody on edge. I would guess that the general % here is roughly 10-15% (not exaggerating when I say that the Akron, Iowa area always seems to be the last to get done in the entire state), but as a seed dealer I still have plenty of corn orders sitting in the warehouse waiting for pickup or delivery.

Discussion throughout the remainder of the planting season could be fun.

We are 90% done with corn right now, should finish today. I would say the area as a whole is 60-70% done. Best conditions we have ever planted into. A few guys have started with beans here, overall less than 5% done IMO. This is southeast of Mason City a little ways.

We got done with corn and started on beans over the weekend. I would guess that 70% of the corn is planted in our area. We are located NW of Des Moines about a half our. I agree, its looking like a wet week this week starting tomorrow night. And, it looks like rain into next Saturday and Sunday as well.
