There is a big rivalry game this weekend down in Des Moines.
The Iowa Barnstormers are taking on the Quad City Steamwheelers at 7:05 PM Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena in the first ever "Black Out" game.
Iowa (4-9) faces their arch-rival Quad City (7-6) for the final time this season. The victor takes home the Pilot Wheel and Prop Trophy a trophy developed by game inventor Jim Foster for the series between the Midwest's closest geographic rivals. QC's likes to bring a large number of fans on buses to the Iowa game. They are loud, mouthy and high on their own flatulence. Please come down to support the Barnstormers in their effort to claim the trophy for the next year and to help serve our contemporaries in QC's a big slice of humble pie.
The Barnstormers are currently #2 in attendance in the AF2 and are averaging over 9000 fans a game. The good news is tickets range from $12 - $40 and there are still plenty available.
