From where we sit right now, in 2020, if you were given the choice between these two options in 2025, which would you choose?

Option 1
We sign the #1 Recruiting class nationwide in 2025

Option 2
We have more players drafted than any other program in 2025. Let's go with 10 players drafted and two in the first round.

Another way you could frame this question: How many draft picks/first rounders would it take for you to pick option 2 over option 1?

Top recruits can be busts, but if we’re getting that many players drafted it’s bound to mean we’ve had some home runs in our program. Besides, it’s been a crazy long time since we’ve had just 1 first rounder. I’ll take top draft please!

Option 1.

If ISU's at the #1 recruiting class, they're probably at a place where plenty of players are getting drafted.

#1 draft class for two reasons. It means probable success in the win/loss column much faster than the #1 recruiting class in 2025...and the #1 draft class likely means close to a #1 recruiting class in 2026.

Option 2 with that many drafted we could recruit well for years to come

#1 draft class. If you have the most drafted you would have one of , if not the best team in college football. Why would anyone pick #1 recruiting class over draft class? Recruit rankings don’t always pan out.

Well you can be like Miami or Texas from a few years ago and have loads of talented players but terrible teams. It's certainly possible. Probably not much less probable than having a #1 recruiting class that's full of busts

#1 draft and not even a second thought. I’d rather have guys who ARE good rather than guys some people working in the media think might be.

#1 draft. Means we are good here in a few years from now. #1 recruiting class means we have to wait longer. Im very impatient.

It depends on whether you want something to look forward to (recruiting class) or something to look back on (draft class) because if we had that many drafted we likely won a national title or were close to it. Personally, I'd rather have something to look forward to, so it would be recruiting class for me. Plus I'm really into recruiting.

Easy...Texas has shown having great rated high school kids doesn’t translate into wins. Top draft class means the players have achieved their potential.

Signing class is one year. A draft class can consist of several years of quality signings. Guys in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and sometimes 6th year in a program. I would take consistency over a one hit wonder.
