NFL: Pats trade Seymour to Raiders

This has to be another epically stupid move by the raiders. They are nowhere near a team ready to contend, yet they give up a first round pick (probably going to be very high) for a defensive lineman who has been getting nicked up quite a bit the last few years. Gotta love Al Davis.:biglaugh:

yeah, I can see that, but it's not a 100% lock for the Pats, either. They are losing a DE that has been a cornerstone of their D for years, and they're not going to see any kind of return on it for 2 seasons. Did the Patriots get stronger as a result of this trade? Certainly not initially.
 
The Pats seem to have a knack for cutting ties with players at the right time. I think they'll miss him a bit, but over the years the Pats have proven they can just insert the next guy and maintain the same/similar level of play.
 
I just read that Al Davis's mother lived to 103....Raiders fans, you've got a long road ahead of you...
