All,

Bringing the family up for the Tech game. I haven't been up for a game where I didn't have parking arranged ahead of time for many years. We currently do not have parking arranged, so I am curious how it works on gameday for non-reserved parking. Are there cash pay lots that we can utilize? If so, where are these located and any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

We park at the greenhouses. It’s free.

Grass lots south of the stadium are pay lots. Drivers turning right have the right of way so depending on the lot you want to park in can determine which way you want to come in, University or Duff.

G2/G3 are considered the student lots. Just so you know before you bring your family in there...

There are usually quite a few families parked on the east side of that lot but yeah, you better know what you are getting yourself in to if you have kids.

I remember the Jethros in Ames wanted to do something where if you ate there before the game, they'd shuttle you to the stadium. Did that ever become reality?

I usually park in the residential area west of the Iowa State Center (Colonial Village). Even if you get a ticket, it's just $15 if paid within a week. The fine is going to double next year, however.
