Went there for lunch yesterday. I'll say that the food was pretty damn good. Service...not so much. But what really shocked me was that we were the only ones in there for the majority of the meal. Showed up at 11:30 and finally one other table filled by noon. Not a good sign for their lunch business.

The food was pretty comparable to Dublin Bay or Wallaby's, better than Legends. Not a very big menu, though.

It's where the old People's was on the corner of Welch and Lincoln Way.

They sure won't get a lot of college kids in there because they are pissed that the closed peoples for that stupid restaurant. I'll never eat there.

I think they are stupid. They are banking their business on the dinner crowd (5-9 PM). Most college kids won't go there for dinner, and with basically no parking, not many of your average Ames residents will go their either. It's just a matter of time before they change their business plan.

And yeah.....I won't go there because of the whole People's thing.

My memory is a little fuzzy from last friday night, but I'm pretty sure I finished my night there at 2am. It's still a bar; it's just not called People's. They even had live music.

Where do you find parking? That's the problem with restaurants on LW. Bars work because you generally don't want to drive your car anyway. I always wanted to go to the Maid-Rite that was there but I didn't want to go through the hassle of parking.

 It is essentially the EXACT SAME THING that People's was. They are a bar that has food and live music.

Agreed. I loved People's, but it's gone, and it ain't coming back. Bars come and go, just the way it is. My senior year certainly hasn't suffered from not having People's.

And although a limited menu, the food is really good at PC.
